Mission in Calgary

How it started

Our mission in Calgary began in 2014 at the call of Bishop Henry. We started at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, and our primary mission was first with the Portuguese and Brazilian people, and now our mission has expanded throughout the Diocese of Calgary, spreading the joy of evangelization.

Called to witness.

  • Talking about the love of God and how to grow in relationship with Him through the Word of God or any other theme.

  • Called to give what we have received, we are available to give talks in Churchs, groups, parish missions, etc.

  • The main theme we work on is the Word of God, leading people to know more and practice Lectio Divina.

  • Evangelization through sharing about God’s call to consecrated life.

  • We help with preparation for the sacraments and retreats.

  • Throughout the summer, we are available to participate in and organize camps for children and teens.

  • Talks and formation in youth groups

  • Each year we provide a spiritual tool called the Compendium of Lectio Divina. It works like a journal, containing all the liturgical reference for the readings of the year and the five steps of Lectio Divina.

  • Visits in Schools to give talks and formation to students or staff, participation in “Faith Days” or School Retreats

The community has received the vocation to make the Word of God accessible to all, communicating the joy of the Word through our witness, proclamation, and formation programs
