What it is:

The purpose of door-to-door missions is to reach out to the faithful who have fallen away from the Church and remind them of the joy of being part of the Body of Christ. We announce to people that they are not alone, that the Church cares about all of us, and is always open to receive us.
How to participate:

Volunteers will join the Seeds of the Word missionaries in going door-to-door in the homes of fallen away parishioners to evangelize and invite them to return to their parishes. A number of parishes in the Diocese of Calgary will be participating in this mission.
Other ways of voluntering:

Besides participating in evangelization groups, other ways to volunteer include: being part of the group that prepares food for the missionaries, driving groups to different homes, promoting this mission in your parish.

How Is This Connected to the Pastoral Renewal?

Through door-to-door missions, people are directly invited to follow Christ and return to practicing their faith.
One of the main aspects of this mission is the compassion with which we welcome and listen to everyone.
With the door-to-door mission we show the importance of the Church in the lives of families and the need for sacramental life.
